Greetings and Salutations!
Welcome to Media TL;DR the series where I break down my greatest projects so you can easily dive in and understand my original ideas. I'm your host Jaydon Smith! And Today's topic is actually going to be a continuation of my last blogs cliffhanger, so if you haven't read that, go view that before this one. But in case you need to be reminded, I will be talking about my previous editing experiences for videos!
My Lyric Censoring
Like my photos, I need to censor things from my video. I have an example of a video edited because the song had inappropriate lyrics in it. However accidentally, I added a new song over the clip I wanted and the audio linked up quite perfectly with the CapCut Outro.
To get this production, I had to go and upload the original video into Capcut, then after that I started actually doing the editing. The first step was to ensure the video was uploaded without any corruption; making sure the video and audio went through without any differences. After that, I separated the graphic audio from the video, stripping the video of any sound, as in the right side you can see a pop-up watermark showing the original song, which has words I did not like. The rest was creativity from there: I had to replace the silence with a sound or song of some kind, so I went and browsed my library of videos for any sounds that I liked, then I came across a video with the instrumental part of Britney Spears' "Toxic". And the rising violin part came in right as the CapCut outro came in, which I thought was pretty neat.
The Main Takeaway
With this video, I've shown that I have honed the ability to edit videos in terms of changing audio by undergoing a short process. Here I have another example of audio, but this time it was just a single word. And that was the problem; I wanted to keep the rest of the sentence, however I needed to censor the word. So, I decided I add a miniature transition, transitioning to the same part of the video which I cut out; allowing me to mute the word I wanted out. Within the transition I added a glitch effect with a sound effect which I thought fit it. So not only can I replace background music that I don't want, but I can also pinpoint specific words I want to expell.
That's All!
That's it for this Production Blog everyone! I hope I made at least most of my descriptions and abilities clear. I love editing things! Thank you for reading! And until next time, stay cool and attractive.
